Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 18, 2026

Imaginatr ("we", "us", or "our") operates the HD Thermometer ⊎ mobile application (the "App" or "Service"). This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and your rights regarding that data.

The App does not collect personal details such as your name, email address, or account credentials. It does, however, process certain technical data — such as your location and device identifiers — which may qualify as personal data under applicable privacy law, including the GDPR. This policy describes how that data is handled.

Information We Collect

Location Data

The App uses your location to fetch the outdoor temperature for your area. If you grant location permission, your device's GPS coordinates are used. If you deny location permission, we estimate your location from your IP address as a fallback so the App can still display a temperature reading. Your coordinates are sent to our weather data providers (MeteoSource and OpenWeatherMap) solely to retrieve current weather conditions; they are not stored or used for any other purpose.

You can revoke location permission at any time in your device's Settings.

Advertising Identifier (IDFA)

If you are shown ads and you grant permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt, we collect your device's Advertising Identifier (IDFA). This identifier is used by our advertising partners to show you more relevant ads. If you deny ATT permission, no IDFA is collected and only non-personalized ads are shown.

You can manage or reset your IDFA in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Device and Usage Data

We automatically collect technical and usage data to operate and improve the Service. This includes basic device information (such as device model and OS version) and aggregated usage signals that help us understand how the App is performing. This data is collected by our internal analytics system and is not sold to third parties.

Push Notification Token

If you grant notification permission, we collect your device's push notification token to send you weather alerts and App updates. You can opt out at any time in Settings → Notifications.

Crash Reports

We use Bugsnag to automatically capture crash reports and error logs. These reports may include your device model, iOS version, app version, a stack trace, and the app state at the time of the crash. This data is used solely for diagnosing and fixing bugs.

How We Use Your Data

Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data on the following legal bases:

Your Data Protection Rights

The data we collect directly (usage analytics, crash reports, push notification tokens, and location coordinates) is not linked to any name, email address, account, or other identifier that would allow us to connect a record to a specific individual. Because this data cannot reasonably be re-identified, it falls outside the scope of individual GDPR rights under Recital 26 of the GDPR. As a result, we are technically unable to fulfill requests for access, erasure, rectification, or portability — not as a matter of policy, but because identification is not possible.

You can stop future collection at any time using your device settings:

For data processed by our advertising partners (Google AdMob, IronSource), please exercise your rights directly with those providers using the opt-out links in the Third-Party Service Providers section above.

Retention of Data

We retain usage analytics and crash report data for up to 12 months. Push notification tokens are retained as long as you have the App installed or until you opt out. Advertising identifiers are controlled by your device settings and Apple's ATT framework.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are effective when posted on this page. We will update the effective date at the top of this policy when changes are made.
